Colson Kelly, also known by the name Machine Gun Kelly, has an unique rapping style. Baker was born to an English Scottish German family in Houston, Texas U.S.A., on April 22nd, 1991. His parents, two missionaries at the time, took him to many trips during his early days. James Colson Baker was depressed and unemployed while Sonia Alane, his mother, left the family when Baker was only Nine years old. Baker and his father relocated to Denver and lived at the house of his dad's aunt. Others in the community bullied Baker because he was poor. In sixth grade, he started to take rap music as a form of entertainment. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989 in Texas. In his music, he is known for mixing modern hip-hop styles and rock. Baker was signed to Bad Boy Records in 2010, released four mixes between 2007 and 2010. With lyrics that were faster than a bullet train and a soaring voice, the Cleveland artist saw an explosive climb to fame in the year. The rapper went from releasing self-released tapes to being signed to labels. In the following years, each album of his came in at #10 on the chart.
