Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. She is an actor well-known for her roles in Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors as well as filmmakers, both of which she's taken up. She made her debut when she was only 9 years young in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she starred as the main character in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was in the ensemble of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. The film featured her as Nanni's daughter. next season in Red Wood Pigeon. It was her acting career that truly was launched with Close Friends, written and directed Michele Placido. The film received an enthusiastic response at the Cannes International Film Festival. Her father was in the film for the the first time Trauma an award-winning film by Italian horror director Dario Argento. The mother of her, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favorite actress as she portrayed an orexic seeking to locate the murderer of her parents. Asia was in Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third movie she made with her dad. Other films included Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, Asia starred in the role of Arianna a disabled child in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista. It was a complex and challenging role, that she was awarded her the David di Donatello. In 1995, she worked together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her the David di Donatello prize as well as an award called a Grolla oro. In 1994 Asia decided to try directing and turned out two short films as part of the series of the film De Generazione In 1996 she made a documentary of her father and, in 1998, a film about the cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which won an award at The Rome Film Festival. Asia debuted as a director in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. The film was also the lead screenwriter and actress. In May of 2000, the film was screened across the globe. The Williamsburg Festival of Film in Brooklyn, New York awarded it with a prize.
