Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011 along with the title of 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia began her professional career with her debut in 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the win in the second round by TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She returned with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used her superior striking abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. She then lost her subsequent fight due to the split decision. Antonina bounced off the loss, and won Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
